Lunch at Pan Pacific hotel was a total luxury today. Situated at the 37th storey, enjoy the eat-all-you-can lunch 11.30am - 2pm buffet for $50 ++ per person. (I'm not paid to advertise here) heh. I can't even remember the name of the chinese restaurant but I certainly had a good time. Unfortunately, this means I'm gona put on more weight with all dat buffet stuffing. Alritey, I shall keep swimming! And I meant exercising, had enuff business for lazing ard in the chlorine contaminated water and sun tanning.
Anyway, I had been occupied with sch work for the remaining time of my day ,esp creative writing. So, here's my not so creative story written for children between 7 to 12 yrs old. By da way,did I ever mention that I dread writing stories? Oh wells, do read through my story below and leave me your comments. I would really appreciate your efforts to help me improve it in any way. A big THANK YOU to all those kind souls who haf alrdy helped me out in one way or another. muacks :)

-TUMBLELAND-
Jeremy, you’re wrong. Tumble Land does exist! exclaimed Grandfather Grim.

I suppose that is another fragment of your imagination? Jeremy would not consider the reality of his grandfather’s story.

Grandfather Grim continued with his pontification. I can never be wrong about this children’s paradise. People will never grow beyond their childhood and they enjoy the freedom of living entirely on their own. No supervision from any adults, no nagging, no forcing you to go to bed…

They can do anything they want? Jeremy interrupted.

Certainly, my boy Mr. Grim was pleased at Jeremy’s aroused curiosity.

Every weekend, Jeremy and his family would travel to Hoolu Road to pay Grandfather Grim a visit. Aging have not marred the wisps of the childlike air around Grandfather Grim. He and Jeremy share not only the bond between two family members, but a friendship forged with the old man's good old sense of humour.

After several weeks,
Grandfather Grim is dead, Mrs. Grim broke the disheartening news to Jeremy.

Grandfather Grim's death made Jeremy more troubled than on any other days. The agony he had to go through was more than he, at a considerably young age, could comprehend and coped with. Moreover, he did not find any comfort at home. His parents had high expectations of him. This placed him under a strategically incorrect place of unnecessary stress and pressure. Eventually, Jeremy fell into a combined turmoil of bitterness and resentment, towards his parents. Apart from that, the sorrow he felt over the death of his grandfather never ceased to give way to anything. The relationship they had was more than what can be easily forgotten. The memories they shared will not be erased with time, Jeremy felt.

One day, he sat down at his desk and began drawing. He had only one place in mind. So, he drew a picture of the impression he had of that place in his mind. That particular place reminded him of Grandfather Grim. He really missed him. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he reminisced about the good times he had with his grandfather. To his surprise, the picture began to fade in an unusual manner when his tears came into contact with the drawing.

The picture came to life.

A golden gate sprang forth and appeared right before his eyes. It could not have been more real than those he watched in the movies. Utterly shocked at what was taking place, Jeremy could only anticipate the next move. He looked around him and thought to himself Could Grandfather Grim's words be true? Since his parents were not aware of what was going on and he could not foresee any unfavorable circumstances ahead, he took the risk, stepped into the gate of his drawing and entered a whole new world.

Welcome to Tumble Land! The big colourful banner caught the immediate attention of Jeremy. With a glimpse, the entire Tumble Land enfolded itself like that of a gigantic playground with children dressed in costumes of their favorite cartoon characters walking across the brightly lit streets.
A group of three girls dressed in costumes like that of PowerPuff Girls approached Jeremy with a warm smile.

Hello! My name is Apple. Are you new here? the girl with the blue accessories initiated a conversation.

O...h..., Jeremy was dumbfounded.

Don't worry, we are the fairies of Tumble Land. Welcome to the most exhilarating place any child could ever desire! Beanie shrieked.

Yes! Come, let us show you around! Cherry added.

Jeremy had just begun an exciting adventure.

In Tumble Land, there was endless fun. Each was entitled to play any game available, taste any candies or food and everyone was going wild and crazy. It was a form of liberation Jeremy never knew of.

Jeremy could not resist the temptations of every yummy, delicious cake, candy, popcorn, burger, fries or nuggets of any sort. He gulped down large amounts of fizzy drinks and tasted every ice cream favor with toppings and waffles.

Soon, he fell ill and was too sick to get out of his bed. The other children who dropped by his house did not bother him and went on to play with the others. He tried to take care of himself and recuperate on his own. However, his condition only deteriorated. He was feeble to the point that he could no longer walk. He remembered the love and concern he received from his parents when he felt sick at home. They would take good care of him and provide assurance of a speedy recovery. Now, he can only depend solely on himself. The independent form of living and sudden liberation was scarred by Jeremy's illness. It left him emotionally drained as well. All of a sudden, the new discovery did not seem as enticing as the comfort of home, and the love and warmth his parents provided. Jeremy yearned for home.

How am I supposed to go home? Jeremy realised that he was trapped in this place. Somehow, this fantasy had led to a disaster.

Once again, he drew a picture of his house and his family portrait. That was his only consolation. As days went past, he became more homesick. Though he still had many friends to keep him company, he felt a sense of emptiness deep inside his heart; as if something was missing. He could not help but to cry. His tears fell on his drawing and the ink smudged the entire picture. Stupendously, the picture came to life like it previously did before and he was brought back to his original home. Everything was back to normal.

It was day time, when he usually would have waked up at this hour. With a gentle knock on the door, his parents opened the door and greeted him good morning. With a warm hug, the sense of security from his parents was reinforced. He realized how much they meant to him and made a decision to cherish his present lifestyle; never to complain or to be mad at them again.

*Your love guides me through my darkest night! Philothea praised today.

My brothers are driving me crazy once again and my conversation with Daddy is gettin no whr. How often do you see your father online on msn? I could have jolly well ignored him. Yet, I typed "Hey daddy, how're you?" "Where're you now?" :) Being my optimistic self, I really expected positive replies. I was so wrong. He's totally without a rapt.
Daddy: can you tell Mummy not to think so much
Me: Erm...Why so? Anyway, you havnt answered my questions
Daddy: I'm busy at work
Me: Okies
Daddy: Thnks

I'm trying hard to forgive him.
I really would do so.

oh God protect me from myself
my fearful, weary soul
it wants to hold on
when all i want is to let go
oh God protect me from myself
my hand and wandering heart
it speeds toward the wrong
when all i want to do is start
not to do that anymore
i don’t want to do that anymore
change my heart oh God
from the sinful state it’s in
to the state you want it in
i want to please you
change my heart oh God
how do i escape from sin
my old self loves to do it
what a terrible predicament i find myself in
i find myself in sin
i want out of this sin i
’m in to please Him is to know Him
to know Him is to see that
obedience to law is not
what keeps us whole and f
ree is not a thing indeed
it is the body of a saviour,
Jesus Christ the king

I'm not givin up on myself
I struggle but I'll not give in to them
I shall fight on
I shall stand
I will soar above it all`

Yishun Safra's swimming pool rocks! It has the ambience of the beach resort plus great music. I'm lovin it :) It'd be even betta if I'm a Safra member. Oh wellz, I'll just have to keep using my cash card for entrance fee as for now. Anyway, just some tots that raced thru my mind as I did my QT dis morning.
When I say "I am a christian"...
-
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'
I'm whispering "I was lost",
Now I'm found and forgiven.
-
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
-
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need His strength to carry on.
-
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admiting I've failed
and need God to clean up my mess.
-
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are far too visible
but God believes I am worth it.
-
I still feel the sting of pain,
I do have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
-
I'm not holier than tou,
I'm a simple sinner
who received God's good grace.

[ *- Power of your love ]
Lord I come to You
Let my heart be changed, renewed
Flowing from the grace
That I found in You.
And Lord I've come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love.
Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near
Draw me to Your side.
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.
Lord unveil my eyes
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me
Lord renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my eyes
In living every day
by the power of Your love

I don't fancy flowers and gifts.
I'm not fond of playing the love game.
I'm not trying to be cruel and stubborn.
I just you to bog off and leave me alone.
I'll appreciate just that.

It's already long past midnight and I'm still wide awake!
I just spent my QT after I'm done with my life drawing.Ohh, wow, it has been a really long time since I felt that refreshed! I could sing of your love forever! Yes, I really could! It's definately not another routine; not an obligation.I simply dwell in the presence of God and seek him, hopefully, with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. No more pretending, a child-like faith spring forth from the deep recesses of my heart. I'm humbled and in awe of His love. Fears, uneccessay anxiety, worries, guilt etc. simply melt away when I realised how much I meant to Him; to be called his treasured possesion (Deu 14:2b) Can you believe it? God thinks the world of you even when you may seem to be of lil signifance compared to his majesty? What more can I ask for? Who am I that you love me so gently? I'm fully secure in His agape :)
Well, it has been an eventful week.
17Feb2005: TP open house
Right after colo(u)r class, ShiShi and I wanted to walk ard the campus but, somehow, we were asked to help out instead. Being saints, of coz, we agreed w/o any hestiation. lol. It turned out we could actually gain seal pts by just sticking design stickers on the CDrom cover. When amelia and her friends finally arrived, I became their offical tour guide of the day. After visiting business and design sch, I had to abandon them for my darling veron, himyi, carmen and ame. Scripting and planning became my next forte. Anyway, we had such a gd laugh and an enjoyable time together. Apart frm that, I had CAVANA's crispy chicken noodles AGAIN for dinner. Now, I'm really sick of it. But their chicken are deniable good.

[ *-Free ]
Would you believe me if i said
that we are the ones who can make the change in the world today
Would you believe me if i said
that all of your dreams in your heart
can come true today
Would you believe me if i said
that life could be all that you want it to be today
and if i had wings i would fly
'cause all that i need, You are
and if the world caved in around me
to You i'd still hold on
cause You're all that i believe
and the one that created me
JESUS, because of You, I'm FREE!
Would you believe me if i said
that God can make miracles happen today
Would you believe me if i said
that you dont need to wait for the answers before
you step out in faith
Would you believe me if i said
that nothing is ever IMPOSSIBLE for God
just live your life with God inside
you wont regret one moment of it
and give all that you can for God

Hear the rooster crows! Happy lunar/ chinese new year!
Gone is the second day of dis celebration. Like usual, the past two days has been packed with hse visitations, getting red pkts, playing card games and to realise how much all my lil cousins have grown! They're simply so adorable! I've an increasing no. of cousins each year...my relatives are certainly supportive of the governement's child birth wadeva policy. heh. Anyway, I managed to catch Constantine yesterday. It's a lil scary but it was quite a disappointment afterall. The scriptwriter probably rushed through the last part...the depiction of Lucifer in da movie is ridiculous, plus da doctrinal outlines are unbelievable. However, it does dawned upon me that heaven and hell is real; i must not be unaware of the spiritual atmosphere and the devils' evil schemes. I'm not disillusion, just my convictions soaring through. Anyhow, my bros n aunt dorothy went to watch Racing Stripes this afternoon and they claimed that it's worth a watch. yepps, maybe i'll catch it sometime soon. Meanwhile, I shall fulfil my CBF first. The next few days will be pretty much of a tight schedule for me. More hse visitations, sch work to be completed and stuffs. Valentine's Day is just next monday! I never believe that it's just meant for couples cos all my love ones deserved at least a lil something from me.
Meanwhile, it's time for bed! I've to wake up really early tmr morning to send daddy off at da airport and have breakfast together.

Daddy returned to Singapore today. I seriously don't how to react. I'm not happy, not sad, not angry at all. My feelings towards him sumhow became numb. I know it sldn't be but the distance and time apart is irrevocable. My brothers are making indirect remarks filled with much abomination, abhorrence and sarcasm towards him. I do realised he's making deliberate efforts to make amendments. Actually, this's the first time he's helping out with the dishes after years. So I pray against any execration and may forgiveness just overwhelm! I really wanna enjoy a pleasant CNY reunion. Anyways, I caught Finding Neverland this evening wif my dishy. It's a pretty gd and recommended show. Basically, it's a tale of magic and fantasy inspired by the life of James Barrie, the real life author of the children's classics Peter Pan. That reminds me that I've to get started on my creative writing's next assignment. That's to write a short story with illustrations for children between seven to twelve years old. Alritey, I shall go ahead with writing my story plot and structure now.
Ohhh, I'm gonna do some last min shopping tmr, prob get a new set of apparent and some accessories. Time to get busy! >.<

I once was lost but You found me and now I'm free
I need Your power to come and change me
Your Spirit lives in me
I wanna dance for all to see
What compares to Your redeeming Love
What can separate me from Your Love
I need You in my life
I'm never letting go
Of all the things You've said
I'm holding on 'cause You promised me that
You'd never leave
You're always by my side
You'll never let me go
So I'm holding on 'cause I know that I need You
I want more, more of YOU, lord!

I havn't been blogging for donkey days. Neither do i watch tv. American Idol is probably the only show I've watched nowadays. I've been busy wif sch projects n assignments as usual. I don't think I'll haf much of a break during CNY judging from the amt of workload. I havn't done any CNY shopping thus far. Not to mention that my house is still in a shambles. On a positive note, I did get rid of junks and dusts. And I'm thankful that the weekends is here again!

For the husband/wife who snores all night, because he/she is at home asleep with me and not with someone else.
For my teenage daughter who is complaining about doing dishes, because that means she is at home & not on the streets.
For the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed.
For the mess to clean after a party because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.
For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in thesunshine.
For a floor that needs mopping, and windows that need cleaning because it means I have a home.
For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means that we have freedom of speech.
For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.
For the noise I have to bear from my neighbours because it means that I can hear.
For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.
For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been capable of working hard.
For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because itmeans that I am stilll alive.
I've got to be thankful for everything coz nuthin in life happens without a cause :)
